Why it matters
Big LVT makers warn that rubber and latex backed rugs can leave marks on vinyl that do not come out. Most rugs and rug grips use exactly those materials. We made FloorKind™ backing so you never have to check.

Four rules for FloorKind™ backing

Nothing on the floor side contains latex, rubber or PVC.
These are the materials LVT makers warn can stain vinyl for good.

Grips without glue.
Non-slip without adhesive. Lifts off clean, with no residue.

Tested on real LVT.
Every FloorKind material is tested on LVT under heat and weight before we approve it.

Labelled.
Every piece with FloorKind™ backing carries the FloorKind mark, so you and your fitter know what you have.

What you get with each product
- Matching rugs: every rug has FloorKind™ backing, included in the price. The carpet's own back never touches your floor.
- Stair runners: FloorKind stair pads come with every runner. Fitted with rods, with no glue on LVT stairs.
- Landings: fitted wall to wall on underlay as normal. Landings do not have FloorKind™ backing.
The test
The FloorKind test
Before we approve any material, we lay it on new LVT planks under a 5 kg weight at 50°C for 7 days, then compare the planks side by side with untouched ones. Any change and it fails.
